Lisa’s Story

Lisa Quinn-Schofield is a multidisciplinary artist and interior stylist based in Western Australia. Her practice explores the intersection of nature, emotion, and spatial storytelling—creating considered artworks and curated interiors that evoke a sense of connection, calm, and depth.

Lisa draws inspiration from organic forms, layered textures, and the quiet potency of the natural world. Her work often reflects the dualities of light and dark, strength and softness, and the ongoing journey of transformation.

Whether through a painting or a styled space, Lisa approaches each project with intention—inviting others to feel, reflect, and reimagine their surroundings

“My work is grounded in the belief that we are not separate from nature—we are nature. Through abstract forms, layered textures, and a palette that often references the earth and its elements, I explore the delicate tension between chaos and calm, vulnerability and resilience.

Each painting is a process of excavation—an intuitive dialogue between material, memory, and mood. I’m drawn to themes of transformation, fragmentation, and connection, and inspired by the way light moves through darkness, both literally and metaphorically.

My practice is also influenced by the spaces we inhabit. As an interior stylist, I understand the emotional impact of environment. I aim to create work that not only holds visual presence, but also invites reflection and resonance within a space—art as a portal, a grounding force, or a gentle reminder of our own becoming”

BACKGROUND…

Art School Lisa spent 3 years studying fine arts at Claremont Tafe - School of Art & Design graduating with a Diploma of Fine Arts and went on to complete her degree of Fine Arts at Curtin University i- majoring in painting & minoring in ceramics & experimental drawing.

Fashion Design After completing her art studies Lisa worked full time as head fashion designer for a surf company designing the ladies clothing, accessories & graphics which was distributed Australia wide & internationally. Lisa also worked closely with the manufacturers, production, design of catalogues, photo shoots & sales.

Featherhorse Studio Lisa went on to do further studies in Interior Styling & Decorating & launched FEATHERHORSE studio in 2012. Lisa had a vision of creating a unique brand incorporating her creative skills and offering a service that was unique combining her love of art, styling & interiors. Lisa has successfully run Featherhorse Studio for 12 years and in 2025 is now re-branding all of her interior work & art practice under LISA QUINN-SCHOFIELD

Media Since 2012, Lisa has worked extensively with Interior magazines including HOME BEAUTIFUL, INSIDE OUT, ADORE, REAL LIVING and HOUSE & GARDEN. Lisa has worked with many interior designers, builders & architects styling their interior projects. Lisa has also worked on many commercial projects and photo shoots working for brands such as Montauk Lighting Co, Aspects of Kings Park, Thermomix, Enjo, Parcel Property & various tv commercials. She has also presented at many workshops and events.

Lisa has completed many commissioned artworks over the duration of her career which reside in both residential and commercial spaces.
